Kenny Karcher Jr. Way

Updated: Jan 7

We’re incredibly touched to share that the Township of Maple Shade has officially passed a resolution designating the block of Buttonwood Ave. from Route 38 to Mill Road as “Kenny Karcher Jr. Way.” Commemorative street signs bearing Kenny’s name are now in place, honoring his memory and the lasting impact he left on so many people.

On Tuesday, November 11th at 3:00 PM, friends, family, and community members gathered at the site of Kenny’s memorial on Buttonwood Ave. for the official unveiling. During the ceremony, a proclamation was read by Maple Shade Mayor Heather Talarico, and a few heartfelt words were shared by Kenny’s loved ones. Even CBS stopped by to follow up on their previous story about Kenny, which you can check out HERE.

We are so grateful for the continued love and support this small but mighty town shows our family and Kenny’s memory. A special thank you to Gina Capate for all of her help coordinating this event and making sure everything came together so beautifully. And thank you to everyone who played a part in making this tribute possible. Kenny’s name now lives on in Maple Shade in a way that feels incredibly fitting, and we couldn’t be more thankful.
