The First Annual Kenny Karcher Memorial Adult IronMan Tournament

On November 8th, the 1st Annual Kenny Karcher Memorial IronMan Tournament brought players together for a day that perfectly captured Kenny’s spirit- hockey played the way he loved it: competitive, fun, and full of energy (even with some cut-off belly shirts).

Music played throughout the matches, tents were set up around the rink, and players and spectators enjoyed free food and raffles, including lower-level tickets to see the Philadelphia Flyers. The atmosphere reflected exactly who Kenny was... someone who loved the game, loved the people around him, and never took things too seriously.

Of the many meaningful moments of the day, seeing the installation of a beautiful plaque in Kenny’s honor at the rink where he spent so much of his time was an honor. It now stands as a lasting tribute to his love for the sport and the impact he had on everyone who played alongside him. Mark and Ryan also presented the family with a framed jersey featuring Kenny’s number, 44, a thoughtful tribute that meant so much to them.

All proceeds from the tournament were donated directly to the Kenny Karcher Jr Memorial Foundation, helping continue the mission of honoring Kenny’s legacy through community support and meaningful giving.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Ryan Mannello, Mark Kordes, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to organize this incredible event. We know how much time, effort, and heart it takes to pull something like this together, and we are deeply grateful. Because of you, Kenny was celebrated in the most fitting way possible.
